IT Lake Monsters - Description

Lake Monsters Thailand Lake Monsters or Predator Lake as it is sometimes known won it's reputation due to it's large Arapaima. Although these are no longer present, one thing Lake Monsters has continued to do for those fishing in Thailand is to produce huge bags of Amazon fish species. It's not unusual to take 7 or 8 species in a day here and up to 30 fish per angler. It has to be said, that although an expensive place to fish, Lake Monsters continues producing the goods for our customers taking fishing holidays in Thailand, with bags of up to 400kg of exotic fish in a single day possible.

Lake Monsters In 2011 there is another 10 acre lake opening at this venue, that will be stocked solely with Asian Carp species, and for those fishing this venue early there will be a good chance of landing some huge carp in the 100lb to 150lb bracket! So if your an avid carp fisherman please contact us for more information. At present, two of the lakes are ready for fishing with several more planned for 2010.

Ultimately it is planned for this complex of fishing lakes to provide a fishing opportunity for every kind of angler, from fly fishermen to carp and specimen hunters. Set in Thailand 's Rural Ratchburi Province Lake Monsters is an easy 1 and a half to 2 hours drive from Bangkok, Thailand 's cosmopolitan capital. Lake Monsters is the perfect destination for those that want to try something different than Bungsamran, or Thailand 's more conventional fishing parks. The size, shape and setting of Lake Monsters, makes this venue very reminiscent of some English or European lakes, you could almost forget you was in Thailand! Although the iconic Palm Trees that can be seen in the picture above tend to give it away as something else! (Maybe it's in Torquay?) Not to mention the monsters lurking beneath the surface. The Arapaima commonly put in an appearance, as do Amazonian and Thai Red Tail's, Sorubim, Barramundi, Wallagoo, Pacu. Interestingly now as well the venue has some Siamese Carp and Mekong Catfish in small numbers. With Arapaima touching perhaps 120kg/260LB+, Red-tails at up to 50kg, and many other exotic and often very appealing looking fish, Lake Monsters makes a great day's fishing for anyone looking for action on light to medium tackle, from unusual and exotic species, it is certainly one of Thailand's fishing gems.
